Miller went to Chandler today. Dr. Miller went to Poyner today. W. C. Gauntt spent Sunday in LaRue. Bob Lusk of Mabank is in the city today. Rev. J. W. Williams of Dauphin is in the city. L. F. Rogers the barber is on the sick list today. Nat B. Jones returned from Greenville last night. Dave Dickerson made business trip to Poynor today. Mrs. Annie Slocum came in today from Jacksonville. Thos P. Faulk went to Tyler today on official business. Mrs. M. A. Jackson who has been very sick is better today. Skeet Mayfield passed through last night enroute to his home in Tyler. J. O. Hughes and wife of Elberta are visiting W. H. Wallace and family. Mrs. Henry Matthews came in today to visit relatives and friends a few days. Needles and repairs for all kinds of sewing machines at Wallace's music store. If you want a house or any kind of building moved in good shape --L. H. Dowell, the house mover. Mrs. Haywood Campbell and baby returned from a visit to Kaufman today. Misses Mary and Mattie Blair of Rusk are visiting Mrs. Hooper at the Bass house. Miss Irene Jenkins will leave tonight for St. Louis to study the millnery business. Mrs. W. H. Snyder and Miss Della Adams of Cleburne are visiting R. C. French and family this week. T. B. Greene and Edwin went to Tyler today. Edwin will go from Tyler to Mt. Selman for a few days visit. Mrs. Elam, Henderson and Miss Lula Parker returned form Leagueville yesterday where they have been visiting M. Reeves and family. Tom Hall of New York was in town today. Wilson is making cabinet photos at 1.00 a dozen. Mrs. D. R. Murchison is able to sit up and is clear of fever. Miss Pearl Turner of Dallas came in today to establish a millinery department at the Mammoth Store. J. J. Hammons of Van Zandt was in town today. He shipped his engine to Tyler not knowing there was a repair shop in Athens where he could get his work done W. A. Richardson keep the very best beef, pork, mutton, kid, sausage, etc. Justice Blansit and Constable Marrow of Eustace were in the city today to file their quarterly reports with the Commissioner’s Court. Jno. M. McRae was in the city today. He says Murchison will go pro but that the county will go anti. G. C. Meacham has the latest shipment of ties in Athens. B. J. McFarlane was in the city today. He says he has fine crops and has seen no bolweevils in his cotton. Miss Hattie Reagan of Tyler visited Mrs. C. H. Hawn a few days this week and left for Corsicana yesterday evening. Excavations for the Morgan brick store foundations began this morning. Much of the material is on the ground and the building will soon be built. The hours are from 9 to 11:30 a. m., 2 to 5 p.m. and 8 to 10:30 p. m. Mrs. P. Land and Walter Anders who have been visiting C. B. Garrett and family returned to their home in Palestine today. Just arrived a car of new Forney hay at J. H. Garrett's. B. P. Adams at the red brick corner has a nice line of parasols and umbrellas prices from 25¢ to $3.00. Mrs. J. B. Wofford, Misses Allie Hawn and Mamie Kidd and R. P. Wofford and Carl Ferrell went on an excursion to House Crossing on the Cotton Belt yesterday and on account of the train being late decided to walk home.
