Thompson Special to the Review Malakoff, Texas, Jan 30 The funeral of C. B. Thompson, who died at Mineral Wells Sunday, was held here this, Tuesday morning, the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends . The services were conducted by Revs. J. R. Rozell and D. R. Cartlidge of Athens. Mr. Thompson was born in Marengo county, Ala., a little more than sixty-eight years ago and came with his family to Texas in 1854, locating in Henderson county four years later and has lived here ever since. For 22 years he was associated in the mercantile business with his brother, George B. Thompson, retiring from the firm about three years ago. He is survived by his wife, a son by a former marriage, and four brothers, besides numerous other relatives. For more than fifty-three years the brothers have journeyed through life together and now after half a century comes a break in the family. Mr. Thompson was active in church circles, having been a member of the Baptist church for more than a half century and a deacon of his church for more than twenty years He will be missed in the home, the church and all the walks of life. A good man has been called home.
