There is a chain link fenced around it, but a part of the original fence is still there, too, inside the chain-linked fence. It is made of hand-hewn logs set on end, side by side. They are probably ebony logs. The big boveda, with the inscription and a broken wooden cross, are the only markers inside the original fence. Inscription from the big boveda: Con fechasde Agosto de 1876 Aqi llacen las cenisas de D. Cristoval Leal fallecio E 43 anos e edade dejando gratos recuerdos como buen esposa y fiel cuidadano. Ma. Rafaela Trivino esposa e Leal consagra estas a su memoria. D.E.P. There are 5 other visible grave markers: One is a board with the cross board gone; There are 2 wooden crosses; A cement cross with part of the inscription "1929 ?? dedisie fallesio"; A monument with a cross of top of it. There are 4 maguey plants and 19 clumps of lillies that could each be marking a grave site. A broken monument with this inscription: CORNELIA HUERTA Nacio 1866 Fallecio Aug 17, 1926 Un recuerdo su esposa y Hijas y sus hihos There are possibly 30 graves here, but the above are all that were legible.
