RICHMONDS HONORED ON 30TH ANNIVERSARY

A happy event of the weekend was the honoring of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Richmond, 
Mercedes, on their 30th wedding annivesary, when a group of friends, acting as 
hosts, entertained with a swimming party and a picnic supper at the Hoblitzelle 
Ranch swimming pool.  Later in the evening the group gathered at the home of Dr. 
and Mrs. R. H. Clinton for square dancing.  The honor guests were presented with 
a gift from their hosts.

Others present for the event were Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Squires and children; Mr. 
and Mrs. George McGuire and Mrs. J. C. McGuire, Bay City, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. 
Grover Todd and children, Weslaco; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gibson and children; Mrs. 
Frances Beale and son.  Games were enjoyed during the evening.

Mercedes  A family reunion and a birthday party were held this week in the home 
of Mrs. and Mrs. F. G. Richmond, when their three daughters and husbands and 
families were present to include Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Mitchell and children James 
(Beale), Donna and Ronna, La Feria; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Midgett and daughter 
Cynthia Lee (Lea), Corpus Christi, and Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Page and children, 
Mubbie, Debbie and Clifford, Nevada, Texas.  Mrs. Mitchell's birthday was 
celebrated.
