Feb 22, 1968 Obituaries Forest Richmond Services Today Mercedes - Funeral services for Forest Garvey Richmond, 75, will be held at 3:00 pm today in the Stotler Mortuary Chapel. He died in his home Tuesday night after a long illness. He was the father of Mrs. Frances Mitchell, executive secretary of the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show. A retired mail courier, Richmond had been a resident of Mercedes since 1923. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the American Legion, and a native of Cold Springs, West Virginia. The Rev. John Gervis, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate at services. Burial will be in the Weslaco Cemetery. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Libbie Richmond; three daughters, Mrs. Michell; Mrs. Eloise Sisco of Robstown, and Mrs. Mary Jane Page of Nevada, Texas and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister Mrs. Lena Critten of Bronson, Misouri and a sister- in-law, Mrs. H. A. McKinzie of Mission. Pallbearers will be Noa Sisk, Vorgie Pylant, Richard Terry, Roger Terry, Don Fletcher and Bert Green. ============================= Forest Garvey Richmond was the son of Samuel Patton Richmond and Etta Belle Wolford and husband of Libbie Ivy (Hess) Richmond
