A Bledsoe Comptroller of Public Accounts State of Texas The undersigned Nathaniel Addison a native of Louisiana and for the thirty eight years a citisen of Texas and until 1869 a resident of Jasper County Texas and since then and now a resident citisen of Hill County State of Texas aged fifty nine years would state unto your Honor That he is a surviving veteran of the Revolution that separated Texas from Mexico and as such is entitled to an annual pension of two hundred and fifty dollars under the act of the legislature of the State of Texas. Granting Pensions to the surviving veterans of the Revolution that separated Texas from Mexico approved August 13th 1870. That he volunteered at Jasper about the first of March 1836 and went into the company under ____ James Chesher Captain of their company and went to the Texas army them commanded by Gen Thos J. Rusk and that he continued in the said army until the day of July A.D. 1836 when he was honorably discharged which discharge is now in the Adjuntant General Officer of the state of Texas at Austin and accessible by our Honor which discharge is prayed to be to made part of this petition. He therefore prays your Honor to issue to him such a certificate as said Law required authorising petitioner to draw his said annual pension of $250.
