LOCATED IN MALONE SECTION 42 YEARS AGO and made this country her home since her husband passed away 15 years ago. Mrs Mary Elizabeth Lowe, widow of the late Rev. G.J. Lowe ,a pioneer Baptist Minister and confederate veteran, passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Bill Rawls , in the Massey community at 10:35 Monday morning,July 2, ,aged 78 years old. Funeral services will be held at the Cottonwood Tabernacle at 10 :00 Tuesday morning conducted by Rev Melvin Cox. Interment will be at the Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Marshall and Marshall. Mrs Lowe was born in White Co.,TN. She came to Texas 42 years ago, locating in the Malone community and had made that her home practically ever since, but had been living with her daughter for the past three months. Her husband preceded her in death some fifteen years ago. In young womanhood , she united with the church and had been a member of the Salem Baptist Church for many years. Surviving are the following children; Mrs Laura Herrell of Malone,Mrs Bess Woods of Woodbury,Mrs Bill Rawls of Massey, H.P. an J.C. Lowe of Malone, and T.V. Kirby of Reisel,Texas,The following stepchildren also survive;Felix Lowe and S.M. Lowe of Malone,L.P. Lowe of Hollis OK, and Mrs Rob Baker of Hubbard.
