The First Adwell Texans: Family of John Samuel and Sarah Elizabeth Roe Adwell 
about 1905. BR: Sylvester, Minia and Jesse, FR: William Virgil, Mary Phoebe, 
John Samuel, Sarah Elizabeth, Lula and John Bruce. This family came to Texas in 
1904 by wagon train. Other family members made the trip with them. All returned 
to Kentucky but John Samuel and his family. They settled in Itasca and some 
remain there until this day although it is in the cemetery where three 
generations of Adwells are buried.

Additional Comments:
Sylvester is my Grandfather. the rest are my great aunts and uncles and my 
great grandparents.
