Pine Hill cemetery is located in the eastern part of Hopkins County on FM road
3019. From I 30, take 154 south, at 1st red light, turn left on Hwy 11. You
will go through the communities of Como and Pickton, before coming to 3019,
turn left. This Farm to Market road is nearly on the Hopkins - Franklin county
line. Cemetery will be on your right.

This cemetery was indexed in the 1970's. There will be corrections and
updates, so please check back. If you know of any unmarked graves for this

Parnell, Edward H.- 1858 - 1929 (Obit - E. H. "Hawk" Parnell - Uncle Hawk, as
he was known, was born in Dade Co., Mo., Dec. 3, 1858, and died May 29, 1929.
He came to Texas when just a boy. Was married to Miss Martha Carson, Feb. 15,
1878. To this union ten children were born. Six have gone to the great beyond
to welcome his coming. A wife and four children mourn his going - Ester
Parnell, Ellis Parnell, Mrs. Carl Irby, and Mrs. John Sharp, a brother and
sister, Jack Parnell and Mrs. Ellen Sharp. Mr. Parnell was of the Pine

(Obit - Mrs. John Stacy died at her home near Winnsboro early Tuesday morning.
She leaves a husband and seven children, most of a tender age. Mrs. Stacy was
a Gist, and has many relatives in this and adjoining counties, and two
brothers, Hal and Jack Gist, in West Texas. Mrs. H. C. Marshall, of Winnsboro,
is a sister. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Pine Hill.

Stephens, aboout 45, died Saturday afternoon at his home in Pine Hill
community, northeast of Pickton, following an illness of several weeks
duration. He served on several grand juries, the last time in August 1938.
Mr. Stephens is survived by his widow and four children. Final rites were
