Co M 6th Texas Infantry Reunion On Thursday, Aug. 12, 1920, the first annual reunion of Company M 6th Texas Infantry was held at Buford Park during the Old Settlers Reunion. It was the first time many of the old boys had seen each other since the days of Camp Bowie, and there was an interesting exchange of army gossip and experience. While the attendance was small it made up in enthusiasm what it lacked in numbers and there were four squads registered at Company Headquarters. At 6:30 "Assembly" was sounded and the boys marched off to the spot where they first camped when the company was mustered into service. Captain C. B. Fullerton, who was 1st Lieut. of Co. M, when it was organized, called the roll from the original Muster Roll of the company. Corporal Sid Harrell carried Old Glory and as the names were called of those who died in the service the Colors were dipped in their honor. Sergt. Elliotte R. Chamberlain acted as 1st Sergeant and lined the boys up in old time shape. The following members of the old company attended the reunion and signed up on the register: S. M. Harrell - James Williams - Arnold Dunavin - W. C. Flippin - D. C. Buckhart - Merness Nalls - Jeff D. Irwin - J. W. Garrett - J. O. Wilson - Jos. S. Bozeman - Edwin A. Campbell - J. J. Hurst - Roy A. Darlin - J. K. Brim - John L. Buckhannon - E. R. Chamberlain - Roy Jones - John H. Millsap - John E. Norton - Shelton Keelin - T. D. Camper - John A. Norton - Ernest L. Castle - Henry C. Seale - Otha C. Conley - John Gilbert - Fred Mauney - Guy Felton - W. A. Gray - C. B. Fullerton - Don Dillard - J. H. Harrell - and Brice Jenkins. Letters were received from many of the old boys expressing their regret at not being able to attend and Captain Fullerton answered to their names at "Roll Call."
