GREENHILL, OBIE L. - Sulphur Springs, Texas, Feb. 1, 1947 - State rangers and
federal officers joined here Saturday in a search for the slayer of Obie L.
Greenhill, 39, local businessman. Greenhill was found slain here Friday. His
skull was crushed by blows from a sledgehammer, which was found in the grass
behind the vicitim’s cleaning and pressing shop. (Dallas Morning News, Feb. 2,
1947) ( His business was located just off the square on Gilmer Street, in one
of the two building on the left side of the street. J. T.)
