Tuck Newspaper clipping not dated PATE - DENNY Sunday at 11:11 a.m., at the home of Mr. M. O. Pate, on Davis street, Mr. Bruce Pate and Miss Ruby Denny were made one by the authority of law and Divine injunction. No more happy hearts were ever united than theirs and surely no more congenial souls were ever intertwined. Just at the age when life is fullest of hope and love they have taken upon themselves the joys and the responsibilities of the marital relation. The marriage ceremony was performed by Elder Smith of the Christian church. Miss Zerva Pate acted as leading bridesmaid accompanied by Mr. Lemuel Mothershed as best man. The wedding march was most beautifully rendered by Miss Annie Miller. After the marriage and congratulations of friends and relatives present, the bride and groom together with Miss Zerva Pate and Mr. Lemuel Mothershed, Miss Annie Miller and Mr. Marcellus Brashear, Misses Annie Maulk and Edna Minter repaired to the Pate Tabernacle where reserved seats were kept in waiting. After preaching at the Tabernacle the marriage party returned to the home of the bride where a most excellent dinner was served. Those who are acquainted with the most happy pair, who combine so beautifully the charm of lovely womanhood, upon the one part, with the most noble qualities of manhood upon the other, can but expect, as well as wish for them all the joys of life that are given as rewards of merit to the good and true.
