THOMAS - RUSSELL Married at the residence of the parents of the bride on Davis street, Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock, Mr. H. H. Thomas and Miss Virgie Russell, Rev. F.A. Rosser officiating. Thus passes away from the ranks of bachelordom the last of the Thomas boys. We sincerely congratulate Hub on the prize he has won, and with equal sincerity can congratulate Miss Virgie on having given her hand and heart to one of our best young men. Both bride and groom have grown up in our midst, and are deservedly popular. The wedding was a quiet affair as became the day, the guests being confined to the immediate families of the contracting parties. Mr. Ham Buford and Miss Flora Lee Askew were the only attendants. After the ceremony the party went out to the country residence of Mr. Wm. Thomas, partook of an elegant supper, returning to town in the evening, and attending the preaching service at the Methodist church. The future looks bright before them as the match is in every way a suitable one. The Gazette wishes them a long and happy life.
