BARNARD, BETTIE, MRS. - The wife of J. F. (Frank) Barnard. She was the victim of
measles, combined with lagrippe (sic) and heart failure. She was one of the old
settlers of Hopkins county, her father, Mr. Fox, coming to Texas when she was
very small. She was in her fifty-third year at the time of her death. (S.S.
