She was 60 years old, having been born near McKinney, in Collin county, where she continued to live until after her marriage, June 5, 1890. She moved with her family to Sulphur Springs in 1904. She found homes for many hundreds of orphan children during this time, as she did a most remarkable work wherever she went. Services were held at the First Christian Church with Pastor W. M. Batton in charge. Burial followed in the City Cemetery. (Paper, Fri., Sept. 22, 1933)
