All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** From the files of June Tuck BRYANT, CHARLEY W. - Age 74, pioneer citizen, died suddenly Thursday afternoon, while in the J .C. Penny store, from what was thought an attack of his heart. He was born in Tennessee where he lived the early part of his life. He moved to Hopkins County about fifty years ago, settling in the eastern part of the county where he continued to live. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Tom Bryant of Peerless and Boss Bryant of Pine Forest; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest Parnell and Mrs. Liff Moore of Pine Forest; Mrs. H .A. Glasscock and Mrs. Dewey Gibson of Greenville. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Jack Byrd of Como; a brother, John Bryant, having died one week ago. Funeral services and burial took place at Pine Forest. (Hopkins Co. Echo, June 15, 1934)
