Dunlap of this city, was killed when his auto skidded near Hardin, Colorado, on Wednesday of last week. He was making his home at Greeley, Colorado, and was working out of there as patrolman for the Mountain States Telephone Co., and was on his regular work when the accident occurred. His car was found turned over in a ditch and he was unconscious. He was taken to a hospital but never rallied, dying within a few hours. The road was wet and slick and the tracks of the car showed where it had skidded before turning into the ditch. Besides his relatives, he leaves a wife and one daughter to mourn his passing. The remains were shipped to Daingerfield, Texas, for burial. (Sulphur Springs Gazette, Oct. 6, 1916)
