She was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services were conducted by Eld. H. G. York with interment in the Forest Academy cemetery. She leaves a husband and three children. (S.S. Gazette, Fri., May 28, 1909) Later report - Mrs. Pearl Freeman died in Sulphur Springs, May 25, 1909, aged 27 years. She was a member of the Como Baptist church. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Mathews of Wood Springs where Pearl was born and lived all her life until a few months ago she moved with her husband, Mr. John Freeman, to Sulphur Springs. She was married to John Freeman eleven years ago. Her father preceded her in death. She leaves her husband with the care of three children upon him, two boys and one girl, aged from 4 to 8. Also her mother and two sisters.
