Mr. James Gamble was drowned Tuesday evening in a creek about 4 miles

southeast of Black Jack (Cumby.)  It appears that he was in the creek bathing

and the supposition is that he became cramped and sank.  He leaves a wife and

two or three children.  (Dated 5 July 1889)
