JOHNSON, FRANCIS D. - Died at his home in this city last Saturday night at 8
o'clock of congestion. His remains were laid to rest in the City Cemetery. His
frame was bowed with the weight of many years, and both mind and body was
afflicted from the cares and worries of life, and death doubtless came to him as
a healing balm. (S.S. Gazette, Jan. 31, 1908)
