The remains were buried in the City Cemetery with services being conducted by Rev. R. G. Mood of the First Methodist Church. He and his wife were picking cotton and he was only a few feet in front of her when he fell. She rushed to his side but he was dead when she reached him. He was 40 years old and is survived by his wife and three children, his father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. J. C. Long. He was a twin brother of Earl Long. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Fred and Sidney Long of this place, Mrs. A. R. Cummings and Mrs. H M. Daniels of Sulphur Springs, and Mrs. Pres McDonald of Comanche. (Hopkins Co.
