She was near 73 years of age. The deceased is survived by three children, Ethel and Willie of Addran, and Ollie of Sulphur Springs. Funeral services and burial were held at Aiguire Cemetery. She was a member of the M. E. Church (Hopkins Co. Echo, Feb. 9, 1934) Later reported - She died Feb. 5, 1934. Aunt Emma, who was before her marriage, Emma Clark, was 72 (sic) years old at her death. She was born in Alabama. Her father was killed before her birth in the civil war. Her mother lived until she was only six weeks old. Her life then, for a few years, was rather mythical and with little known of it, only that she was moved from there to Tenn. and later to Ark., cared for by different ones of no relation to her. At the age of eleven, she was brought to Texas by Dr. Carroll Bradford of Birthright. She lived in this home until her marriage to Mr. J. B. Martin in Dec. 1879, of the Addran Community. She was buried beside her husband in the Aiguire Cemetery
