MOREHEAD, PHILIP - On last Saturday evening a telegram announced the death of
Philip Morehead, which occurred at Corpus Christi. For more than a year he had
been suffering from lung trouble and had gone to the coast with the hope of
relief. His parents were summoned to his bedside. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs.
W. T. Morehead, and was born and reared in this city. His remains were shipped
to this city for interment and the funeral service was held at the family
residence on College street. Rev. T.F. Gallager conducted the service, with
burial following in the City cemetery. (S.S. Gazette, Fri., Mar. 26, 1909)
