J. Nabors, formerly of this place, but for the past several years a citizen of Tupelo, Oklahoma, died very suddenly at his home in that place last Monday. He had been in bad health for some time, but recently got better and was able to go to town. Mr. Nabors was about 65 years having spent the major portion of his life in Rains county and in the edge of Hopkins County, near Bonanza community. He had been married three times, five children surviving him by the first marriage, namely: W. I., D. L., and Rogers Nabors, and Mrs. D. S. Nettles, Emory; and Homer Nabors, Fort Worth. One son, D. J., Jr., survives by the second marriage, who was making his home with his father at the time of the latter^Òs death. There were no children, but he is survived by this third wife. His remains were buried beside his second wife and his little daughter who was burned to death a few years ago at Tupelo, Oklahoma. His three sons and daughter from here attended the funeral at Tupelo. (First printed in the Emory Leader Paper, reprinted in the Sulphur Springs Daily News-Telegram, Oct. 1924)
