ONIE NOBLE, daughter of Ramsey and Letis Vance, born April 5, 1841, and died July 5, 1929, being 88 years and 3 months old the day of her death. She was converted and joined the Methodist Church at the age of 19 years. She was married to John Noble, Feb. 17, 1864, but he only lived a few months after their marriage. She was a true and devoted mother to his three boys, Harden, Willie and Johnnie, whose ages ranged from four to ten at the time of their marriage. Of these three, Johnnie is the only survivor and is now living in Wichita Falls, Texas. She helped to rear the family of her niece, Mrs. John Alexander, with whom she made her home for the past thirty-five years. She was the last of her immediate family to die. Surviving her are two nieces, Mrs. Onie Cate Smith, Sulphur, Okla.; Mrs. Era Alexander and her three children, Carry, Sulphur Springs, Race and Rena, Ridgeway. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Oakland, of which she had long been a member, conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. F. Davis, with burial in the Oakland cemetery.
