Burr, 147 Payne street, with interment in the Calvary cemetery. The deceased, who was 65 years old, resided at Snyder, Okla. He came to Dallas three days ago to visit his daughter. Yesterday morning he arose, presumably to get a drink of water, his son-in-law, A. Burr, mistaking him for a burglar in the room, fired at him with a large caliber revolver. The bullet took effect over the right eye and penetrated the brain, producing instant death. Justice Williams, acting as coroner, returned a verdict yesterday to the effect that William O'Connor came to his death on the morning of Jan. 29, 1908, at 147 Payne Street as the result of a pistol shot wound below the left eye, fired by Aaron Burr, under the impression that he was shooting at a burglar. (Reprinted in S.S. Gazette, Fri., Jan. 31, 1908) Later report - William Loving was a brother-in-law to Aaron Burr.
