MRS. - A large crowd gathered at the City Tabernacle Sunday for the funeral of Mrs. R. Odom, whose death occurred Friday evening, conducted by Rev. J. H. Woodard. Interment was made in the Cumby cemetery. Lucinda C. Lamdin was born March 28, 1847, in Alabama. With her parents she moved to Texas in the early fifties and located in Smith County. She joined the Presbyterian Church in 1887. She was married to Robert Odom July 28, 1868, and to this union were born eight children, all of whom together with the aged companion survive. Children are: Clay, Hewitt and Ollie Odom, Cumby; Mrs. Mollie Reynolds, Big Springs; Mrs. Shellie Dixon, Cumby; Mrs. Ula Mosley, Campbell; Mrs. Oma Gordon, Uvalde.
