J. Page who lives about midway between Self and Cash, was killed Monday night by falling from a tree. Young Page, his brother, and a neighbor boy were hunting opossums in the woods near Dixon creek. A opossum was located in rather a large tree, and Page climbed the tree to dislodge the marsupial. When about twenty feet high a limb broke and he fell to the ground. His head struck upon a piece of timber and his forehead was crushed to pieces. Death was instantaneous. (S.S. Gazette, Fri., Nov. 12, 1909)
