All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** From the files of June Tuck PALMER, SARAH, MRS. - Died at Ardmore, Okla., Saturday and her remains were brought here and buried in Cumby cemetery. Mrs. Palmer lived just north of Cumby for a great many years and reared her family here; Mrs. B. F. Ashcroft of Sulphur Springs being one of the children. For several years she had made her home at Ardmore with her children, living to the extreme age of 80 years. Her son, Otis Palmer, and her grand-daughter, Miss Gladys Williamson, came with the remains. Will Rash and wife, B. F. Ashcroft, and Bloomer Rash and wife of Sulphur Springs and others attended the funeral. A large number of people accompanied the coffin to Mrs. McKinney's residence and attended the services at the grave on Monday. The Eastern Star, of which she was a charter member, had charge of the funeral. (Cumby Rustler, Fri. 4-23-1909)
