Penny, past away after hovering between life and death for two weeks or more. The remains were interred in the Arbala cemetery. Miss Cecil, a young lady of about seventeen, the oldest daughter, will have the care of the household. (Sulphur Springs Gazette, Fri., Mar. 20, 1908, Elberta Lake column) Reported later - Mrs. Penny was born in Tennessee, July 6, 1874; was married to A. J. Penny, Nov. 15, 1901, and died March 15, 1908. They came to Texas ten years ago and settled in the Arbala community. She leaves a husband and four children, father and mother, three brothers and five sisters. She was a member of the M. E. Church. Bro. Saffold conducted the burial services.
