J., MRS. - Died at the home of her son-in-law, John W. Robinson, after a brief illness of throat infection. She was a daughter of Uncle Johnnie Youngblood of Evans Point. She was born in Corinth, Mississippi, in 1845, and would have been 64 years of age today. The family moved to Texas in 1848, locating at Gilmer and later moving to this city. In 1865 she was married to Thomas C. Ripley who was engaged in the mercantile business in Sulphur Springs. This union was blessed with seven children, five of whom survive her, Charles and Will Ripley, and Mrs. John W. Robinson and Mrs. W.L. Bryson of this city, and Paul Ripley of Amarillo, Texas. The funeral service were held at the home of John W. Robinson, with burial in the City cemetery. (Sulphur Springs Gazette, Oct. 30, 1908)
