SCRUGGS, C. C. - Death has taken C. C. Scruggs, who for a number of years and
been a citizen of this community. He became a victim of dropsy sometime ago.
Recently, his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lizzy Scruggs, and his little granddaughter,
the infant of Mr. & Mrs. Tom Turner, preceded him in death. (S.S. Gazette, May
