SICKLES, MANDA, MRS. - We are sorry to note the death of Mrs. Manda Sickles a
short while back. She was the daughter of Mr. McLaughlin, an early settler of
this state. She was the last of the older McLaughlin family. Mr. Tom McLaughlin,
was the first, then Mr. Bob McLaughlin was next. He was found dead at his home
in western Texas. Mrs. Sickles left a large family. (S.S. Gazette, Mar. 30,
