All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** From the files of June Tuck URY, AMOS - Well known Hopkins county citizen, died at his home in Checotah, Okla., last Sunday. His remains were brought here, with services held at the home of Stewart C. Ury, by Rev. R. B. Russell. Interment in the City cemetery. Mr. Ury was born in Mt. Vernon, Franklin (then Titus) County, Texas, September 1848. He came to Sulphur Springs when a small boy. He married in Hopkins county. To this union there were eight children, all whom survive, save one: Mrs. R. P. Mann, Mrs. R. E. Dadler, Mrs. H. L. Wood and Mrs. J. E. Ury of Checotah, Okla.; Mrs. Fred Norsworthy of Waxahachie; Mrs. Ray Allen of Muskogee, Okla., and Stewart C. Ury of this city. (Sulphur Springs Gazette, Dec. 3, 1915)
