WHITE, JOE T. - Was found unconscious in his lot Wednesday morning about 8
o'clock. He rallied several times during the day, but death relieved him of
his suffering. Uncle Joe White was 82 years of age. He was born and reared at
Wellsville, Mo., and moved to Hopkins county about thirty-seven years ago.
During all this time he resided in Cumby and Sulphur Springs. He engaged in
the market business in this city for many years. The funeral services were
held at the family home on Depot street with burial in the Odd Fellow
Cemetery. He leaves his wife; he had no children. (Sulphur Springs Gazette
1915) He died Oct. 14, 1915
