All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** From the files of June Tuck WILLIAMS, CARRIE, MISS - Sulphur Springs, May 3, 1886 - Today the remains of Miss Carrie Williams, whose death occurred in Waco, at Baylor University, last Sunday, reached the city. She was a charming young lady, beautiful and accomplished and truly a favorite in society. Her body was met at the deport by a procession composed of pupils of both schools, the Sabbath school of which she was a member, and many friends. Five hundred people composed the procession, and as the hearse drove from the depot it was showered with flowers. The young ladies death saddens the community and brings the shadows of a bitter sorrow to her household. (The Texas New Era, May 8, 1886, Longview)
