C. Allen. Mr. Wilson had been suffering with paralysis for some time, and on Wednesday he had a stroke from which he never recovered. He was 66 years old last August. He was a native of Alabama, but had been a citizen of this state and county a number of years. He served through the entire civil war in Co. I, 3rd Ala. Reg. under the famouse "Stonewall" Jackson until that brave leader was killed and then under Lee the remainder of the war. Funeral services were conducted at the residence of Rev. Meade, with burial beneath the snow in Pickton cemetery. (Sulphur Springs Gazette, 26 Jan. 1906)
