All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** From the files of June Tuck YANTIS, FRANK E. - Died at his home in this city Tuesday evening. He was born in Collin county, near McKinney, on March 15, 1865, and moved to Hopkins County with his parents in early boyhood. He lived on the farm until he reached the vista of manhood; then came to this city served an apprenticeship as a jeweler under W.F. Adair. A few years later, he moved to Wolfe City and engaged in the occupation as a jeweler; while there he was married to Miss Artie Tittsworth, and their union was blessed with three daughters and a son, all of whom survive. He moved back to Sulphur Springs in the early nineties and engaged in the jewelry business, starting on a small scale and building up a large and highly reputable jewelry establishment. He was member of the Masonic, Knights of Pythias, Odd Fellow, W.O.W. and Elks fraternities. Services were held at the family residence on North Jackson street, conducted by Rev. Wallace Bassett, with burial in City cemetery. (Sulphur Springs Gazette, Oct. 9, 1914)
