I Susan ALLEN a resident citizen of the County and State, first above written being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make or dain publish and declare this instrument of writing to be my last will and testament; That is to say, first after all my lawful debts are paid and fully discharge the resid-- of my estate, real personal and mixed or of what ever character it may be, I give and bequeath and dispose of as follows to wit: To my son, Jesse J. ALLEN, of Anderson County, TX, I give and bequeath my negro boy, George, fifteen years old and a slave for life; To my son, Burtie ALLEN of Trinity County Texas, I give and bequeath my Negor girl, Sophia, nineteen years old and a slave for life; To my daughter, Lazarilla Tisdal of Jasper County Mississippi, I give and bequeath my negro girl, Pricellar, twenty two years of age and a slave for life; To my daughter, Mary Ann BUTLER, of Clark County, Alabama, I give and bequeath my two negro children and children of Precilla, one named Mary, age four years and Adline two years old and slaves for life. To my daughter, Emily HARVEY, of San Augustine, Texas, I give and bequeath my Negro boy, Clarbourn, age five years and a slave for life and my feather bed and clothing- To my grandchildren, Patterson SHIPP; Wiley SHIPP; James SHIPP and Susan SHIPP, children of my daughter, Ann SHIPP, now deceased, I give and bequeath my negro girl, Amanda, age eleven years and a slave for life. To my son John ALLEN of Houston County, Texas, I give and bequeath my Negro boy Byrus, age eighteen years old and my old Negro woman Charity, Fort, nine years old and slaves for life and I do hearby appoint my son John ALLEN, my executor of this my last will and testament and I further hereby declare it to be my will and postive direction that the county courts pertaining to probate and register this my last will and testament and receive and register the inventory of my estate as returned by my eaecutor - In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal using scroll for seal this 26th day of November AD - one thousand and sixty four - Signed and acknowledged in the presence and witnessed by us at the request of Susan ALLEN, the testatrix ........................................................
