Scripps newspaper. Robert McHaney BIG SPRING - Robert A. McHaney, 56, died Monday, Jan. 27, 1992, in a local hospital. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Nalley-Pickle " Welch Rosewood Chapel. He was born Nov. 24, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and came to Big Spring in 1979 from Tacoma, Wash. He was retired from the U.S. Federal Prison System in 1989 and was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Lunette McHaney of Big Sping; a daughter, Genea McHaney of Big Spring; a sister, Vivian Davis of California; and two nieces and a nephew. Additional Comments: I am not related, I lived in Sonora, Sutton County, 65 miles south of San Angelo. From 1990 to 2000, I meticulously collected the entire obituary page (s) from the SAST and saved them by month carefully folded in separate 10x13 envelopes-then in file boxes by year.
