                           HUMBOLDT CEMETERY

Location: eastern Hunt County, approx 9 mi northeast of Greenville, Texas. It
is bounded on the north by FM 2736 and on the west by CR 4109. 

The land is of the John Christian Survey, W. W. Wooten Headright. The cemetery 
property is a rectangular shape and is about 4 acres. 

It is fenced with barbed wire on the four sides. There are 2 metal gates 
opening off FM 2736. One gate is to the west near the church building and the 
new section of the cemetery. A metal arch, Humboldt, is over this gate. The 
other gate is to the east near the old part of the cemetery and near where the
Kentucky Town Road crossed the property. 

Number of burials (marked and unmarked) – 179. The cemetery is still excepting
burials.
 
The following gravesites are listed based on a map, a 1998-1999 survey compiled
from tombstones and sexton records. Survey of gravesites by Norma Jean Ford and
Mildred Ford Beggs.
