Celeste Students in Austin for League Competition
    Two seniors from Celeste High School are entering Interscholastic League
competition on May 4 - May 5, 1963, in Austin.  They are David Smith and
Jeannette Swafford, honor students, who are active in all classes and many
school projects.
    Both students qualified for State competition when they placed second in
Region III - B contests held in Denton recently.
    Smith, the son of Mrs. Comora Smith, is competing in number sense.  His
teacher and sponsor is T. B. Weatherley, Jr.
    Miss Swafford's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Swafford.  She is
competing in shorthand.  Mrs. G. W. Tillerson is her sponsor and instructor.
