Garland Roach, Superintendent of Celeste High School, Mrs. Lucy Moore Holderness, Dean of Women, Wesley College, lectured to the Celeste High School girls last Thursday afternoon at 4:00 PM on "Character Building." This was the first of a series of bi-weekly lectures that she is to give in Celeste for the next few weeks. The selection of Mrs. Holderness was due to suggestion made by three leading ladies' organization is Celeste; The Woman's Home Missionary Society, the Ladies' Aid, and the Thursday Club. The honor comes to one who is deserving. She is recognized by the women of Texas as one of their few cultured, well-educated, and religious leaders. (Thursday, February 9, 1928, The Wesley Pilot)
