Declamation students from Celeste going to Commerce:
    Linda Weatherley, Jackie Lynn Jackson, Pat Roach, Julia Cannon, Cecilia
Ann Mulkey.
    Janie Armstrong and Bessie Glasscock are in the Ready-Writing contest;
Teresa Rodriguez, the Poetry Contest.
    Marsha Gilliam will go to Commerce in story-telling.
    Georgia Steed and Jeannette Swafford, spelling; Sherry Duncan and Eddie
Sue Gibson, spelling.
    The junior girls won first place in volleyball.  The players were Donna
Childress, Eddie Sue Gibson, Sue Sumrow, Sarah Warren, Sylvia Raper, and Carol
Ross.  (I know that I played as did Charlsey Childress and Carole Ann!!!)
    C. L. Smith, T. H. Baker, Larry Hazal, Paul Dan Jones, and Donnie Duncan
participated in a five-minute program at 6:30 AM at KGVL in Greenville,
telling about the FFA.
