Coach's Leading Team
    The Celeste High School cage team, coached by
S. M. Meeks, former Wesley student, defeated the White
Rock quintet last Thursday night by a score of 24 to 19
in a hard fought contest.  This victory gave them the
undisputed lead in the fight for championship of the north
half of the county.
    The Celeste cagers have enjoyed a splendid season thus
far, having one of the best teams of any school in the county
loop, and are making a determined bid for the county title
against some of the strongest opposition in years.
    While in Wesley, Meeks made a record in athletics, and he
has not discredited that record since taking over the athletics
supervision of the Celeste school.
