The State of Texas  County of Hunt
Know all men by these presents That I, Junious L. NEWSOM of the
County of Hunt and State aforesaid for and in consideration of
the sum of Two Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by P. H. NELSON
of the same County and State the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged have granted bargained sold and released and by these
presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the said P. H.NELSON
the following tract or parcel of land situated in Hunt County on the
waters of Luke (?) Fork a tributary of Sabine River about 17 miles
South 54 E. from Greenville being a preemption survey made for me by
A. CAMERON, County Surveyor of Hunt County on the 9th day of December
A..D. 1858.  Beginning 95 varas South & 451 varas East of the SE corner
of a 320 acre survey made for John PARSONS a stake from which a small
post oak mkd. TN bears N 18ø E 6 varas.  Thence South1250 varas to a
post & mound. Thence East 721 varas tp a post & mound.  Thence North
1250 to a post & mound. Thence West 721 varas to the place of beginning.
Together with all and singular the right members, hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging .or in any wise incident or
appertaining to have and to hold all and singular the same the said
premises above mentioned unto the said P. H. NELSON his heirs and
assigns forever and I the said  Junious L NEWSOM (bottom of page torn)
p.229
unto the said P.H. NELSON his heirs and assigns against any person
whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
Witness my hand this 2nd day of November A.D. 1868.

The State of Texas   County of Hunt
Before me O. D. MONTSON clerk of the county court of Hunt County this
day personally appeared R. D. ORR a subscribing witness to the annexed
and foregoing deed of conveyance bearing date the 2nd day of Nov A.D.
1868 & stated on oath that he saw J. L. NEWSOM subscribe the same, and
that he signed the same as a witness at the request of the said J. L.
NEWSOM and that he saw E.P. CROUCH do likewise.   To all of which I
certify by hereto setting my hand officially with the seal of my office
this the 28th day of Nov A.D. 1868
