The State of Texas}
County of Hunt}

Know all men by these Presents that I, J. F. SHIELDS of the County of Hunt 
and State of Texas for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred the 
Thirty dollars in Hand Paid by Logan. H. JACOBS of Hunt County and State 
aforesaid the receipt is hereby acknowledge have this Day Granted Bargained 
sold and release and by these Presents do Grant Bargain Sell and release unto 
the said Logan H. JACOBS the following tract or parcel of land lying and 
situated in Hunt County on the waters of the Cow leach fork of Sabine about 6 
miles North and 40 E. from Greenville being a Part of the Headright Survey of 
Esram TIDWELL a part of 240 acre tract deed by Mary KIZER to H. SABPEFFER? 
Being a part of 85 acre Tract Deed me by Elizabeth SABBISON/SATTISON? 
beginning  at my North E. corner then South 662 varas then West to J. W. 
SPOONEMORE'S corner a sufficient Distance to make and include 40 acres thence 
North 662 varas to the S. Boundary line thence East with the same to the 
Place of beginning to include Forth Acres of Land.  Together with all and 
singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any 
wise incident or appertaining to hereby Warranting and forever defending the 
Title the above Mentimia Premises againce all Person whomsoever lawfully 
claiming or to claim the same or any Part there of unto him the said Logan H. 
JACOBS his heirs and assigns forever.

Before me S. P. MOORE Notary Public in and for Hunt County State of Texas 
personally appeared J. F. SHIELDS whose name appears to the above Deed of 
Conveyance made to Logan H. JACOBS Dated on the 24th Day of December A.D. 
1875 and acknowledged this signature to the same and for the consideration 
and purposes therein Set forth and Expressed.  To certify which I therein 
sign my name and affix the seal of my office hereon impressed this the 24th
