HART of the County of Hunt and State aforesaid, in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and fifteen dollars to us in hand paid by J. F. SHIELDS. Have Granted, Sold and Conveyed, and by these presents do Grant, Sell, Convey unto the said J. F. SHIELDS of the County of Hunt and State of Texas, all that certain tract or parcel of land situated in Hunt County, Texas about 6 miles North of Greenville being a part of the E. TIDWELL Headright Survey Beginning at the N. W. corner of a tract of 52 1/2 acres of land bought by J. F. SHIELDS from O. P. SMITH Thence East with the N. B. line of said land to Tidwell Creek thence up said Creek with its meanderings to the S. B. line of a tract of land sold to M. H. WRIGHT by Jack ASHEY thence West with said line far enough to be due North of the Beginning corner Thence South to the place of beginning containing 22 acres of land more or less. To have and to hold the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto belonging, unto the said J. F. SHIELDS, his heirs and assigns, forever. And I do hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, to Warrant and Forever Defend, all and singular, the said premises unto the said J. F. SHIELDS, his heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same, or any part thereof. Witness our hands at Greenville this 2nd day of March A. CAMERON, Clerk of the County Court in and for Hunt County on this day personally appeared Hardin HART and Nancy J. HART, wife of the said Hardin HART both of whom are known to me to be the person whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledge to me that they executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed. and the said Nancy J. HART, wife of the said Hardin HART having been examined by me privily and apart from her husband and having the same by me fully explained to her, she the said Nancy J. HART, acknowledged such instrument to me to be her act and deed and she declared that she had willingly signed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed and that she did not wish to retract it.
