W. Thomason and E. A. Thomason husband and wife of the County of Hunt and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen hundred DOLLARS to us in hand paid by A. Y. Polk as follows: To wit One Thousand Dollars in hand paid The receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and one promissory note of even date herewith for The sum of $500.00 due and payable on Jan 1st 1906 Bearing 10% interest per annum from maturity and to secure the payment of said note a Vendors Lien is retained on the land herein after named. have Granted, Sold and Conveyed and by these presents do Grant, Sell and Convey unto the said A. Y. Polk of the County of Hunt and State of Texas all that certain Tract or parcel of land situated in Hunt County Texas about 18 Miles South a little West from Greenville and being a part of the John Montgomery Head right survey. Beginning at the N.E. Corner of a 50 acre tract of land now owned by R J Cooke The same being a part of said Montgomery survey a stake on West line of the James A. Jones survey. Thence S. with The West line of said Jones survey Crossing Jones Creek 600 vrs. on West line of said Jones survey. Thence West 387 1/6 vrs. to E. Line of the William Burton survey a stake. Thence North With East line of the William Burton survey 600 vrs. a stake. Thence East 387 1/6 vrs. to The place of Beginning on the West line of said Jones survey. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging, unto the said A. Y. Polk his heirs and assigns forever. And we do hereby bind ourselves heirs, executors and administrators to Warrant and Forever Defend, all and singular, the said premises unto the said A. Y. Polk his heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. WITNESS our hand at Quinlan Texas this 15th day of Nov A.D. 1905. Henly a Notary Public in and for Hunt County, Texas on this day personally appeared G. W. Thomason and E. A. Thomason wife of G. W. Thomason known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged to me that they executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed. And the said E. A. Thomason wife of the said G. W. Thomason having been examined by me privily and apart from her husband, and having the same fully explained to her, she the said E. A. Thomason acknowledged such instrument to be her act and deed, and declared that she had willingly signed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed, and that she did not wish to retract it.
