W. Thomason and wife Elizabeth A. Thomason of the County of Hunt and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of One Thousand and fifty DOLLARS to us in hand paid by Thomas Deweese have GRANTED, SOLD and CONVEYED and by these presents do GRANT, SELL AND CONVEY unto the said Thomas Deweese of the County of Hunt and State of Texas all the certain tract or parcel of land to wit, situated in Hunt County Texas on the waters of Sabine River about 18 miles South from Greenville and bounded as follows a 24½ acre survey, Beginning at an inside corner of a 160 acre survey deeded by J. J. Hail to Thomas Deweese,Sr. off of the James McAdams League from which this is taken. Thence West 450 vas. to a stake in Greenville and Kaufman Road. Thence N 28º 30'. Thence East 328 vas. to a stake . Thence S. 365 vas. to place of beginning, containing 24½ acres of land - Another tract off of same survey and deeded by J. J. Hail to Thomas Deweese, Sr. and beginning at the SE corner of said survey at a stake in prairie from which an ash on the South bank of branch marked D bears N 35º W 49 vas. Thence N. crossing branch several times 866 7/10 vas. to a stake in prairie. Thence W 866 8/10 vas. to a stake. Thence South 446 8/10 vas. Thence East 441 vas. to stake on South B. line. Thence East 419 vas. to place of beginning, containing One Hundred acres more or less. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging, unto the said Thos. Deweese his heirs and assigns, And We do hereby bind ourselves and heirs, executors, and administrators to WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND, all and singular the said premises unto the Thos. Deweese his heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. WITNESS our hand at ____ , This 29th day of August A.D. 1887. Humphreys a Justice of the Peace and exoficio N. P. in and for Hunt County, Texas on this day personally appeared George W. Thomason and Elizabeth A. Thomason wife of G. W. Thomason - known to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged to me that they executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed. And the said Elizabeth A. Thomason wife of the said G. W. Thomason having been examined by me privily and apart from her husband, and having the same by me fully explained to her, she, the said Elizabeth A. Thomason acknowledged such instrument to me to be her act and deed, and she declared she had willingly signed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed, and that she did not wish to retract it.
